Product introduction
A solar collector is a device that collects and/or concentrates solar radiation from the Sun. These devices are primarily used for active solar heating and allow for the heating of water for personal use.
Flat collectors can be mounted in a variety of ways, depending on the type of building, application, and size of collector. Options include mounting on a roof, in a roof, on walls or as freestanding units. Flat-plate collectors are commonly used in domestic water-heating systems (DHW), for heating swimming pool water and in solar space heating.
Flat-plate solar collectors are mainly composed of a heat-absorbing plate, a transparent cover, a heat insulation layer and a shell; after the solar radiation passes through the transparent cover, it is projected on the heat-absorbing plate, absorbed by the plate and converted into heat energy, which is then transferred to the heat-transferring mass inside the plate, causing the temperature of the heat-transferring mass to rise as the useful energy output of the collector.
Simple structure, reliable operation and suitable cost, flat plate collectors also have the characteristics of strong pressure-bearing capacity and large heat-absorbing area, which are most conducive to realising the combination of solar energy systems and buildings; they can provide more domestic hot water compared to vacuum tube solar systems on the premise of the same area.
